Autumn is when the Janite Tradition begins the cycle of the Cosmic Drama.

9 Samhain/Nov. 8

Stelladi or Star Day. (Wednesday).

Day of Madria Sage.

~

Dear Friends and devotees of Dea,

The sacred season of Autumn is when the Janite Tradition begins the cycle of the Cosmic Drama.
The five Great Mysteries are incomprehensible to our limited state of understanding, although symbols may point towards Spiritual Truths. We can contemplate or concentrate upon a Mystery which enables our divine souls to remember and advance towards Dea.

From our Deanic catechism:
“9. What is a Mystery?

A Mystery is a truth beyond the grasp of reason which Dea has nonetheless revealed to us.” [1]

This is the Mystery of Terram symbolising The Great Mother Mysteria who is the Ground of All Being.
“God is the first, and highest and only necessary thing that exists, and thus, had God not created, God would be the only thing that exists. Could one somehow ponder a universe in which God had not created, in which God was all that was, one might well ask “what is it to be in this universe where there is only God?” In such a universe the only conceivable answer is “to be is to be God.” In that sense God is Being Itself.” [2]

From our Deanic catechism:
“17. Who is the Great Mother? *

She is Absolute Deity, Who existed before the beginning of existence and is beyond being and unbeing.

18. What is Her Nature?

She is outside space and time; She is all that is and all that is not.” [1]

From our scripture:
July 2012
The Filianic Scriptures, New Celestial Union
Version (Second Edition, Third Update)

Title 4, Chapter 1
The Clew of the Horse

44. … She takes on unnumbered shapes, and numberless conditions…
46. She that is the maker of being and of unbeing; She that is all that is and all that is not…

Every being and thing, from Celestial Mother and Holy Daughter onwards finds their “Pure Source” [3] in Her.

The Great Symbol is the Apple of Wisdom. [4]

The Jana who governs the sacred season of Autumn is Madria Thema. Her Divine Virtues are Order, Harmony and Justice. Which we can implement in our lives, in whichever ways we find appropriate. (I have tips and systems which I use, that I may share in the future).

Autumn Months
It is advantageous for people seeking to become closer to Dea to use devotional methods for integrating the Sacred seasons, months, weeks and days of the deanic wheel of the year (a year and a day) into their lives.

Abalon, September 5 – October 2
(Old Welsh meaning Appleland).
These are the reflections that I find personally meaningful and beneficial:
Trinity of Dea, Life, Spirit, Soul, Wisdom.
Full Moon: Apple Moon.

Ourania, October 3 – October 30
(Meaning Heavenly, Cosmic).
These are the reflections that I find personally meaningful and beneficial:
Cosmic Order, Living Harmoniously, Praying the Rosary, Spiritual Enrichment.
Full Moon: Cosmic Moon.

Samhain, October 31 – November 27
(Meaning Summer’s End. For the Celts, summer ended in October.)
These are the reflections that I find personally meaningful and beneficial:
End of Life Lived in Spirit, Death, Soul Journeys.
Full Moon: Spirit Moon.

Weeks

The lunar month is 4 weeks comprising 28 days.
Each week representing again the Solar year in miniature.
When the moon is Decrescent (waning / shrinking) – Autumn Equinox

Day
Pomedi / Appleday / Thursday – honours the Great Mother / Holy Trinity as the Apple of Wisdom.
Appleday is presided over by Jana Madria Thema of the Fourfold Earth. She is the Guardian of West and Earth. The season of Autumn.

On Her day we say:
O, Madria Thame, Jana of Order, Harmony and Justice, be with us.
May the Pure Stream of your Virtues flow within me, in this world and in all the worlds to come.

Rituals
The sacred season of Autumn altar cloth is the elemental seasonal colour of green. This can be a doily, hankey/handkerchief, table cloth. (Which should be object blessed).
An altar candle can be the elemental seasonal colour of green, rather than white.
Priestesses will accent their white dresses/robes with accessories in the liturgical colours of blue and purple.
(Which are the colours of the robes of the Jana Thema. These are colours that are symbolic of Who They Are in Their Spiritual Essence).
