1st Astrea / November 28th: Putting up the Astrean World-Axis Fir Tree

Our predecessors in the Madrian Faith put up the Astrean World-Axis Fir Tree on this first day of Winter.

There is a tree naming ritual:
Choose a name with a wintery feeling or meaning.

If you have a relative or friend who was born in the month of Astrea, you may name your tree to honour them.

“I shall name this tree __________”.
or “I shall name this tree in honour of __________”.
Trace the fora over the tree.

Turn on the tree lights.

“Star Fairy, (Princess of air-elementals, Sylphs), I invite you into my/our hestia.
May you rule here, and may the Spirit of the Astrean season be bright.”

I purchased these vintage items in 2015.
A circular glass flower stand (1″ / 2.5cm high x 6″ / 15cm across) for 5 candles (supplied with red but I have purchased the appropriate colours from hereditary witch https://www.freyascauldron.com) and a Spode fine earthenware votive candle holder combining the sacred star with the evergreen tree of life (2.5″ / 6.5cm high x 4.5″ / 11.5cm across). These are petite which helps in my small hestia (blessed and sacred home).

I cannot find any actual ivy/holly/mistletoe in the city. As is usual with me, I do enjoy artistic representations.

Wishing you all peace, joy, and wisdom,
May She bless you. Blessed is She.
