22 Sunna/Aug. 29
Day of Sai Thema, Foundation of Justice, Order and Harmony.
Today, we would like to announce the opening of the Hypatia’s Grove Book Club for women, hosted by ArchSorella Minna. (ArchSorella means High Sister and indicates a member of our Sisterhood who has begun to study for the priestesshood.)
Those who wish to participate may join by clicking on this link: https://www.goodreads.com/group/invite/1009116-hypatia-s-grove?invite_token=YmMxYTY1MjAtYTEzZi00NGU5LTgxOTgtYTFhNWRjMGE4MGY5&utm_medium=email&utm_source=copypastegroup.
The first book we are reading will be, Women Who Run With the Wolves, by Clarissa Pinkola Estes: https://www.amazon.com/Women-Who-Run-Wolves-Archetype/dp/0345409876. This book is also available on Kindle.
The first meeting will be 1 Abolan/Sept. 5. (What a great way to start the Sacred Season of Fall!). We wish to thank ArchSorella Minna for hosting this exciting new book club!
The Correspondences of the Janati page has been completely over-hauled and expanded. It is now in alphabetical order for easier use. It may be found in the upper part of the menu (at the left) and also at this link: https://deanic.com/the-correspondences-of-the-seven-janati/.
The above paintings by Nicolas Roerich may be found as prints, framed prints, canvas prints or prints on wood, the latter of which is similar to print icons. In the Janite Tradition, the Mother of the World (upper) is often used as an image for the Great Mother and the Madonna Oriflamma (lower), is often used as an image of the Celestial Mother. These prints on wood would make an excellent addition to a home icon corner, shrine, altar, etc., and may be found, here: https://fineartamerica.com/shop/wood+prints/nicholas+roerich.
And, finally, in other news, plans are in place for the publication of a Janite Deanic Calendar by the secular New Year!
May Our Lady Bless you,
Blessed is She.
