Making Holy Water, Holy Oil and Blessing Objects

TO MAKE HOLY WATER:

If possible, use fresh, running water such as from a local lake, spring, river, brook, etc. Melted snow may also be used. If fresh running water is not available, tap water is better than bottled water. Bottled water may be used in an emergency.

Take three pinches of salt and pour into water. Take blessing wand (or forefinger) and stir three times. Then, with Blessing Hand (thumb holds down ring and pinkie fingers while first two forefingers are upright and held together) trace Fora over the water while saying: May this water be blessed in the Name of the Mother, and of the Daughter, and of the Great Mother, Blessed is She.

TO MAKE HOLY OIL:

Holy Oils consist of a base oil like olive, almond or jojoba with the addition of a few drops of one or more essential oils. Shake well and then trace the Fora over the oil while saying:

May this water be blessed in the Name of the Mother, and of the Daughter, and of the Great Mother.

THE BLESSING OF CANDLES AND OBJECTS

(Make sure candles are clean.)

Sprinkle (asperge) the candle or object with holy water three times with the Blessing Hand.

Then, trace the Fora with the blessing hand over the object while saying:

May this (name object) be blessed in the Name of the Mother, and of the Daughter, and of the Great Mother.

If desired, continue on to the next two steps:

To Consecrate:

Take good incense that has been blessed and trace the Fora over the object. Then circle the incense beneath the object three times, clockwise, enfolding the object in the smoke while saying: May this (name object) be consecrated in the Name of the Mother, and of the Daughter, and of the Great Mother.

To Anoint:

Finally, dip the forefinger of the right hand in holy oil and trace the Fora on the object while saying: May this object be blessed in the Name of the Mother, and of the Daughter and of the Great Mother. Blessed is She.
